The NBA launched it's first ever "In-Season Tournament" today with it's first round of games. There were colorful courts and unique jerseys to signify the fact that they are the tournament games. I am a big fan of the idea and I'm super excited to to see how it'll develop this year and in future years.

Cleveland Cavaliers 116 (2-4) @ Indiana Pacers 121 (3-2)

First game back for the stars on the Cavs. It might be a chemistry issue to start, but it ended up being a close game in the fourth quarter. The Pacers starters had a good game today and the bench also chipped in anchored by Buddy Hield.

New York Knicks 105 (2-4) @ Milwaukee Bucks 110 (3-2)

The Knicks are disappointing. They need to get rid of Julius Randle. He has ben an issue for years now and they just refuse to do anythign about it. Now with Jalen Brunson on the team, Randles's issues and skils are coming to light and are glaring holes that need to be fixed. He can't shoot, can barely defend, complains the whole game, and gives minimal effort to run. If the Knicks had a somewhat decent second star, they would've won this game and countless others. This game was highlighted more by the Knicks performance than the Bucks dominance.

Washington Wizards 114 (1-4) @ Miami Heat 121 (2-4)

Two teams I really don't care too much about. The Wizards are going to suck and they've shown it. The Heat somehow have won two games, and their highlight has been the performance of Tyler Herro who's off to a nice start to the season.

Brooklyn Nets 109 (3-2) @ Chicago Bulls 107 (2-4)

Zach Lavine almost won the game for the Bulls at the end, after what was a close game throughout. Nice win for the Nets who got contribution from all their players with multiple people scoring in double digits. If the Bulls can't string together some wins down the road, they'll need to reassess where they are as a team seriously. They don't have enough talent to win and they have enough talent not to lose. They can trade away some of their stars to get more draft picks and start their rebuild, but it doesn't make sense why they haven't already. IT is what it is. I really hope, for the sake of theyir players, they just decide that their time has run out and start their rebuild.

Golden State Warriors 141 (5-1) @ Oklahoma City Thunder 139 (3-3)

What a thriller! Steph game-winning shot right at the buzzer almost didn't count because of Draymond Green possibly interfering with the shot. The Thunder are going to be a problem this year and for years to come. They are showing they are a team full of young talent. Meanwhile, the Warriors somehow find ways to win of course because of Curry.

Dallas Mavericks 114 (4-1) @ Denver Nuggets 125 (5-1)

Dallas tried to put up a fight but they were clearly undermanned. Denver will continuously show that they are the champions for a reason. Michael Porter Jr also had a good game for the Nuggets today and is poised to take a big leap for them this season.

Memphis Grizzlies 113 (0-6) @ Portland Trail Blazers 115 (3-3)

If the Grizz were going to get their first win of the season, it wouldbe been this game. But alas, still winless. Shaedon Sharpe came up with a clutch block for the Blazers to seal the win for them at the end. Grizzlies have lots of ongoing issues and they look dyscuntional and out of it. It may be issues that may not get fixed once Ja Morant returns from his suspension.
