No games tomorrow, so there were a plethora of games today and will be even more on Wednesday!
Washington Wizards 128 (1-5) @ Philadelphia 76ers 146 (5-1)
Embiid dominated today per usual.
Player of the game: Joel Embiid - 48 pts, 11 reb, 6 ast
Dallas Mavericks 117 (6-1) @ Orlando Magic 102 (4-3)
Dallas makes threes and plays defense.
Player of the game: Kyrie Irving - 21 pts, 6 reb, 10 ast
San Antonio Spurs 111 (3-4) @ Indiana Pacers 152 (4-3)
Pacers scoring alottttttt of points and the Spurs didn't place defense.
Player of the game: Tyrese Haliburton - 23 pts, 2 reb, 8 ast
Golden State Warriors 120 (6-2) @ Detroit Pistons 109 (2-6)
This was a close one, but the Warriors did their thing and took over in the fourth.
Player of the game: Steph Curry - 34 pts, 2 reb, 4 ast
Los Angeles Clippers 97 (3-3) @ New York Knicks 111 (3-4)
First game with James Harden on the team for the Clippers. Although they lost, I liked the look on their team. They'll spend the next couple weeks figuring out what line-ups work and which ones don't. They were just out-hustled today by the Knicks.
Player of the game: RJ Barrett - 26 pts, 6 reb, 4 ast
Los Angeles Lakers 107 (3-4) @ Miami Heat 108 (3-4)
Lebron needs to be studied. Everything about him. How can he STILL be this good, and how can he still be doing what he's doing in the 4th quarter. They lost though. Heat just gave more effort and the Lakers missed way too many open shots. Oh and AD got hurt.
Player of the game: Bam Adebayo - 22 pts, 20 reb, 10 ast
Milwaukee Bucks 129 (4-2) @ Brooklyn Nets 125 (3-4)
Cam Thomas is a walking bucket for the Nets. The Bucks are having defensive issues to start the season and teams are capitalizing on it. Giannis helped push the Bucks to the win though.
Player of the game: Cam Thomas - 45 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast
Boston Celtics 109 (5-1) @ Minnesota Timberwolves 114 (4-2)
The Number 1 defense (Wolves) vs the Numer 1 offense (Celtics) and the defense ends up superior. This was a really good game with both of them going back and forth. Anthony Edwards of the Wolves took over down the stretch and in overtime and had his best game of the year so far. The Celtics went cold in overtime which lost them the game.
Player of the game: Anthony Edwards - 38 pts, 9 reb, 7 ast
Atlanta Hawks 117 (4-3) @ Oklahoma City Thunder 126 (4-3)
Both teams are building the right habits and headed in the right direction. OKC were leading for most of the game, but it was still a fun one.
Player of the game: SGA - 30 pts, 8 reb, 6 ast
Sacramento Kings 97 (2-4) @ Houston Rockets 122 (3-3)
The Kings suck without Fox. Got blown out twice in a row by the Rockets. At least make it close one of the times.
Player of the game: Alperen Sengun - 17 pts, 8 reb, 12 ast
Utah Jazz 113 (2-6) @ Chicago Bulls 130 (3-5)
Battle of Mid! This was a fluke game for the Bulls. Don't see them winning by this much often.
Player of the game: Zach Lavine - 24 pts, 2 reb, 3 ast
New Orleans Pelicans 116 (4-3) @ Denver Nuggets 134 (7-1)
No Jamal Murray for the Nuggets for a few games as he is dealing with a right hamstring injury so the rookie Julian Strawther decided to step up and drop a career high 21 points.
Player of the game: Nikola Jokic - 35 pts, 14 reb, 12 ast
